  • SCANNED THE PCM FOR FAULT CODES. VEHICLE ARRIVED WITH NO LIGHTS ON..? FOUND SEVERAL FAULT CODES STORED FOR VARIOUS REASONS. ONLY ONE FAULT IS A CONCERN FOR EVAP EMISSIONS. CODE (P0441 – EVAP PURGE SYSTEM PERFORMANCE). THIS IS THE MOST CONCERNING FAULT FOR THE WAY OF NEEDING TO PASS SMOG INSPECTION. ADVISED THE CUSTOMER OF THE FAULT AND WHAT IS PERTAINS TO. CUSTOMER AT THIS TIME CHOOSES TO ERASE ALL FAULT CODES FOR NOW AND IF THE FAULT RETURNS LATER SHE WILL ADDRESS IT THEN. OTHER FAULT CODES STORED CODE (U1417 – INPLAUSIBLE LEFT WHEEL DISTANCE SIGNAL ERROR). CODE (C22000 – ANTI LOCK BRAKE MODULE INTERNAL ERROR). FRONT BRAKES ARE AT 50 % LEFT OF LIFE. REAR BRAKES ARE AT 20 % LEFT OF LIFE. TOPPED OFF ALL FLUIDS WHILE HERE – THE OIL WAS A QUART LOW. ADDED ONE QUART OF OIL.

SUBMITTED ALL INFORMATION VIA PHOTOS WITH INFO WRITTEN DOWN TO PROOF THE TEST RESULTS. EXTENDED WARRANTY HAS NOW COME BACK AND AUTHORIZED THE ENGINE REPLACEMENT ON (3-29-2021). THEY WILL BE SHIPPING A CRATE REBUILT MOTOR BETWEEN 5 – 8 DAYS. ALL THE EXTRA PARTS, FLUIDS AND OR MATERIAL NEEDED ASIDE THE INSTALL KIT WILL BE THE OWNERS RESPONSIBILITY. * MAJOR DELAY ON THE MOTOR ASSEMBLY ARRIVAL – FOUND OUT IT WAS BACK ORDER AND NOW IS RELEASED. WILL ARRIVE ON (4-19-2021)
  • REMOVED THE OLD FAULTY "KNOCKING" MOTOR. REMOVED ALL COMPONENTS AND PARTS NEEDED TO TRANSFER OVER TO THE NEW (REBUILT) MOTOR SUPPLIED BY EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY. CLEANED ALL COMPONENTS AND PARTS THAT ARE GOOD TO REUSE. CUSTOMER REQUESTED TO USE THE OLD PARTS DUE TO NEWER ON THE VEHICLE – INSPECTED AND AGREE THE PARTS LOOK AND APPEAR TO BE GOOD TO REUSE. REASSEMBLED THE NEW MOTOR WITH ALL THE COMPONENTS AND PARTS FROM OLD MOTOR. INSTALLED THE MOTOR ASSEMBLY IN THE VEHICLE. FULLY ASSEMBLED THE VEHICLE AND CHASSIS. ADDED ALL NECESSARY FLUIDS THAT WERE NOT SUPPLIED BY THE CUSTOMER AND OR THE MOTOR RE-BUILDER. TOPPED OFF AND RECHECKED AFTER RUNNING THE VEHICLE. TEST THE MOTOR – ALLOWED TO BREAK IN BY IDLING AT FIRST FOR 3.5 HOURS – THEN WE TEST DROVE AFTER CHECKING THE FLUIDS. RECHECKED AGAIN AFTER A LONG EXTENSIVE TEST DRIVE. LAST INSPECTION ADN CHECK OVER OF THE VEHICLE SHOWS NO SIGNS OF LEAKING – FAULT CODES – ENGINE ISSUES. VEHICLE IS GOOD TO GO NOW. FLUIDS ARE AT SPECIFIED LEVEL. ** SUGGEST RETURNING IN 500 MILES FOR A CHECK UP ON THE ENGINE AND FLUIDS.

SERPENTINE BELT LOOKS OLDER – NOT BAD AT THIS TIME. TRANSMISSION FLUID IS DIRTY – RECOMMEND A FLUID FLUSH. TEST THE STARTER SEVERAL TIMES HERE IN THE DRIVEWAY. STARTED UP ON 15 ATTEMPTS WITH NO ISSUE. LET THE VEHICLE REST AND RETRY LATER. NOW AT THIS TIME WHEN TESTING THE STARTER, IT HAS FAILED 6 TIMES OUT OF 14 ATTEMPTS. CHECKED THE POWER AND GROUND TO THE STARTER ASSEMBLY……GOOD. CHECKED THE IGNITION CYLINDER TO AND FROM THE STARTER FOR SIGNAL…….GOOD. SUGGEST A NEW STARTER AND RECHECK AFTER THE REPAIR. SEE ESTIMATE FOR THIS REPAIR.
  • REMOVED AND REPLACED THE FAULTY STARTER ASSEMBLY. TEST AFTER THE REPAIR SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO FAILURE. TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND LET STAND FOR A PERIOD OF TIME, THEN TURN OFF TO REST AND RETEST AGAIN. NO MORE ISSUES NOW. VEHICLE IS GOOD TO GO.

P0456 – FAULT IS NOT RELATED TO THE FUEL PUMP FAILURE, THIS WILL BE A SEPARATE DIAGNOSTIC AND MAY REQUIRE A REPAIR. RECOMMEND REPLACING FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY AND RECHECK AFTER REPAIR.
